Features

A small toolset that covers the whole day

TomTodo combines a to-do list, a habit tracker and a simple time log in one place, so you do not need three apps to run one day.

Nested tasks and subtasks

Big tasks are rarely one step. Split them up until each piece is obvious.

  • Add subtasks under any task, and subtasks under those, as deep as you need.
  • Keep the big goal as the parent and work through the concrete steps beneath it.

Flag important tasks

Not everything is equally urgent. A flag keeps the few things that matter in view.

  • One click marks a task as important; it stands out in the list.
  • Use it sparingly: if everything is flagged, nothing is.

Estimates in points

A list without estimates hides how much you have promised yourself.

  • Size any task in points: 1, 2, 3, 5 or 8, or a custom value.
  • Points are your own unit of effort, not minutes. Give them the meaning that works for you, for example one point as roughly an hour of focused work.
  • The work timer measures actual time separately. Compare the two to calibrate your estimates and learn how much you really finish in a day.

Repeating tasks and habits

Some things are never finished for good. Habits come back on their own.

  • Set a task to happen once, daily, weekly or on another schedule.
  • Completing a habit records it and brings it back for the next period.
  • The repetition history shows when you did it, so streaks and gaps are easy to spot.

Built-in work timer and worklog

Know where your time went without a separate time-tracking tool.

  • Activate a task when you start on it; deactivate it when you stop or switch.
  • Each active period is saved with start and end time.
  • The result is a worklog per task you can review at the end of the day or week.

Drag-drop ordering

The order of your list should be the order you plan to work.

  • Drag tasks up and down to reorder them.
  • Move a subtask to a different parent by dropping it there.

Passwordless login

No password to create, reuse or leak.

  • Enter your email address and receive a 6-digit code.
  • Each code works once and expires after 10 minutes.
  • Your session stays signed in on that browser until you sign out.

Works with your AI assistant

Manage your list by talking to the AI assistant you already use.

  • Connect TomTodo to Claude, or any assistant that supports custom MCP connectors, in about a minute.
  • Ask it to add tasks, show what is on today, start a timer or tell you what you worked on.
  • It acts only after you click Allow, asks before deleting anything, and you can disconnect it at any time.
  • Set it up step by step
